Recipe: Green Tea
Since its nature made, the natural taste of all the leaves are bitter. Green tea's bitterness can often be decreased while it gets prepare. Here are some recipe and tips to help you achieve the best flavor:
Use Less Tea leaves : Using too much tea leaves can lead to a more bitter taste. We recommend using 2 grams (about one teaspoon or little less) per 200ml of water.
Water Temperature: Make sure to make the tea at the right temperature. Green tea should be made at 80°C (176°F) rather than putting it in boiling water. It will extract more bitterness from the leaves if green tea leaves are put in boiling water. Once the water is gets boiled then switch off the gas stove and put the tea leaves and keep it for few minutes.
Cooking Time: Limit the cook time to 2-3 minutes. Keeping it for long time will increase bitterness and hardness in taste.
Add: Honey or Jaggery according to your needs, to increase the sweetness and to improve the taste.
Multiple Infusions: Consider multiple short infusions rather than a single long one. This can help bring out the delicate flavors of the tea.
